"Depends on the train, draw bridges and traffic typically due to lane closures from road/street work. "

"I’ve rented a home in this neighborhood for two years. We love our neighbors, though safety and comfort vary on a block by block basis. If you commit to knowing the area and putting down roots, then you’ll enjoy the Lower 8th. "

"We love our neighborhood because of its proximity to the MIssissippi River. Often it feels a bit like being in the country inside the city limits. We love it’s proximity to downtown and that it can feel quiet and peaceful at the same time. "

"Holy Cross’s proximity to the levee it a huge plus for dog owners. The path along the ridge offers fantastic views of the city skyline, not to mention the neighborhood’s two iconic steamboat houses. "

"My commuting is very good... It’s very convenient for me to get back and forth to work and around to corner store I really love it around here that’s why I’m working so hard to get in this place because I need it really really bad..."

"Private schools in New Orleans is the best choice for education. MLK is near but I’m not sure what of school it is. Sorry "

"I've lived here for 3+ years and love it. It is a simple drive or bus ride to downtown (or beyond) but has the feeling of being in a charming town all it's own. Proximity to the riverfront is what made me buy here, but the neighbors are what I will remember most. Oh, and you can still see stars at night."
