"Filled with loud college parties. It’s nice to live close to campus if you work there, but be prepared for loud neighbors. "
  • Lauren S.
"It’s mostly students. People come in and out. A little bit sketchy but pretty ok. People walk their dogs a lot. "

"There’s lots of sidewalks to walk on so dog walking is easy. There’s a park nearby too. Not a lot of grass, though. "
  • Dillon D.
"Busy do to the college and hospital/medical buildings. Helicopters, trains, ambulances throughout the night. You get used to it. But not ideal for children. Ideal for students "

"Very collegey. Safe and a fair walk from campus. Sometimes there are loud parties on weekends but otherwise ok. Great food nearby, too"

"I’ve lived in this neighborhood for 2 years now. Even though it is noisy (nearby hospitals -ambulances, helicopters- frequent train) I love living here. 25 min walk to downtown center. 10 min walk to pretty much anywhere on UK campus. Nearby liquor store, gym, tanning bed, health juice store, fast food, Starbucks, tally hos. The convenience is key! You can get used to and almost start to enjoy the train noises. T min Uber anywhere around lex center. There used to be a grocery store in walking distance but Kroger or Trader Joe’s or Whole Foods are about a 10 min or less drive, which isn’t bad. "
