"Some community events such as movies in the park, community sport leagues, community decoration competitions, etc. This neighborhood isn’t the most quiet but it is definitely a nice friendly neighborhood to live in with many things at walking distances. "

"This is a great neighborhood for people to walk their dogs. It's a safe environment for everyone including your pets. Just try not to cross the street on Marquette & Hamlin. There's an accident at least once a week on that intersection. The city should really put a 4 way stop sign."

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGraduated from this school and it was the worse time of my life. I was getting bullied everyday and was even choked and threatened infront of an entire class, no one reported it or did anything, only one person helped who was my friend. The teachers are not the best at teaching their subject and are rude to students as well. My friends from this school were also bullied, and made uncomfortable by students and teachers. I once reported being bullied and cried to the counselor about what she did and the things she made me do, I was reported and she didn't receive any type of punishment. Only a few teachers were kind but very few, most picked their favorite students and let them pass. I have been doing better in highschool, which this school did not prepare me or any other students for. The counselor also did not help families with first-born children how to apply for different highschools, she also ignored bullying. Would not recommend everOther Review3mo ago6 Reviews - Lee Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLee has gone a long way. We are sponsored by the Chicago Bulls and BMO harris bank, and we have gotten to meet some players. We have also (my class in 6th grade, im going in 7th now) been on the news. We have gone up greatly in test scores because of the wonderful teachers there and because of the great learning programs and experiences we are now able to have thanks to our new principal Ms. Lisa and assistant principal Ms. Escobar. I love Lee so much. It is so wonderful to go there.Other Review11y ago2 Reviews - Azuela Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSt. Nick's school has provided a wonderful learning environment for my 4 children and I highly recommend this school to anyone seeking a private Catholic education. St. Nick's provides a lot of assistance to students that need a little more encouragement and/or help in and outside of the classroom. The addition of teacher aides help provide individual one on one time to ensure no student is left behind. The title I teachers are amazing! My son especially loves Mrs. Baran; she has helped him grow in reading/math and continues to support him due to covid setbacks. The technology program has really grown over the years and is established into all classrooms with chromebooks, iPads, smartboards, etc. The school feels like an large extended family, parents get to know one another through volunteer, parent meetings, sporting events, etc. even though there are no requirements placed on us. I help when we can and if I can't, that's been okay too. St. Nick's is not in it for the tuition, they have helped me personally when needed. The staff are all amazing and the teachers have timely communication through ClassDoJo app so you're never left out on homework, upcoming events, or private matters involving your child. I recommend St. Nick's to all, go check them out!Parent Review3y ago25 Reviews - St Mary Star Of The Sea School
