Posted by a community member on 2/7/2026They only care about grades not emotional support or kids to be included. Other kids crate groups and feel empowered to exclude any kid they wat and no one do nothing to protect those kids from been bullied.

After experiencing both schools I would say there is a huge difference, Hurley had so many better and more experienced staff members who cared about teaching every single one of the children what
Posted by a community member on 11/30/2016This school is pretty good so far. My son is currently in 1st grade and so far, his kindergarden and 1st grade teachers were (are) both excellent. I just wish this school could provide extracurricular activities.

She is not my son's teacher, but she knows him and his name. She met me and talked in a little Spanish even if she is white. She said she will see us on Monday because

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school's performance has been extremely concerning. My child was neglected, denied water, and not provided with any meaningful education. I have documented evidence of these incidents on a device I sent to the school. Even during a season when hydration is crucial, my child was not given water. Moreover, the teachers ignored my child and, in some cases, used force to teach him. These experiences caused significant emotional distress for my son. It's disappointing to think about how many other children, especially those from minority backgrounds, might have been negatively affected by this school's inadequate service. As a result, I decided to withdraw my son from this school. They refuse to mark. Him as homeschooling. Thus creating a "cps" situation I'M sure they are itching to achieve. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSt. Nick's school has provided a wonderful learning environment for my 4 children and I highly recommend this school to anyone seeking a private Catholic education. St. Nick's provides a lot of assistance to students that need a little more encouragement and/or help in and outside of the classroom. The addition of teacher aides help provide individual one on one time to ensure no student is left behind. The title I teachers are amazing! My son especially loves Mrs. Baran; she has helped him grow in reading/math and continues to support him due to covid setbacks. The technology program has really grown over the years and is established into all classrooms with chromebooks, iPads, smartboards, etc. The school feels like an large extended family, parents get to know one another through volunteer, parent meetings, sporting events, etc. even though there are no requirements placed on us. I help when we can and if I can't, that's been okay too. St. Nick's is not in it for the tuition, they have helped me personally when needed. The staff are all amazing and the teachers have timely communication through ClassDoJo app so you're never left out on homework, upcoming events, or private matters involving your child.
