"This side of town seem to be in war. There is a lot of gun Violence in the area. The school systems are terrible. there are some decent blocks. And you have plenty of Transportation these are the only two things about south shore that’s fair. "

"My commute is reasonable, however there may be violence or uncomfortable areas during the commute that may be hard to avoid. There are not enough resources in the area either."

"Good place for dogs. Not much to say other than that. They have a park here as well which is cool. Wouldn’t raise kids here tho, schools are rough, full of gang activity "

"This neighborhood has always been trouble since I was a child over 40 years ago. I would not suggest this as an environment to raise an animal let alone a family. What's "Unique" about the neighborhood is that the streets are some of the worst ones in the city as far as potholes are concerned. Furthermore my cousin was murdered and found dead in a garbage can less than 2 years ago and the suspect hasn't been charged in her murder but is in jail for another murder."

"The close Proximity to Lake Michigan makes the neighborhood appealing. I also love the South Side YMCA as a place for kids to play and for parents to achieve fitness goals."

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagesouth shore fine arts academy is a wonderful school, my boys love going to school, (how many of us can truly say that) they enjoy the challenge, they also understand if they have an problems or worries, they will be addressed, not just by me but also by any staff member, it says a lot about a school when all the personalities mesh together, staff, parents, students, there will be a happy stress free solution at the end, most important your child feels safe, and when your kids feel good it rolls on to you, none of us are perfect but when we're working together for the betterment of our children it all pulls together like cakeParent Review11y ago4 Reviews
