"Nobody bothers anyone. Almost everyone is courteous and polite. Everyone that walks their dog is on a leash. So that everyone can feel safe."

"Usually each year there are small summer festivals around the area. Likewise we are so close to Indiana where shopping at lower taxes and prices is right around the corner."

"50/50. Either you hit traffic or you don’t. Always leave early to make time for accidents/delays just like anywhere else."

"The neighborhood is starting to get bad. Constantly hear about shootings. A lot of gangs around. Used to be good. Getting worse "

"Lots of pet owners, lots of families, Alderwoman is useless but the community is what you make it. Can be hard to get city services down here. "

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy. The most of the teachers don’t care about bullying, or when people are getting made fun of right in front of them. I’ve noticed that teachers will let the kid get bullied not move the bully’s or try to tell them to stop they will usually just let it happen and report it later. In your a person of color and are not Hispanic I couldn’t not recommend this more. If your child is a person of color that’s not Hispanic I beg you don’t send them here they will get bullied horribly. This school mostly the kids aren’t told why things my using stereotypes and slurs are wrong so they just use them as jokes. They think it’s funny to yell racial slurs in the middle of the class. So I’m begging you don’t send your kids here.Student Review1y ago9 Reviews - Addams Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAddams is a great school that has been going through a lot of changes. They have great students and most teachers who truly care for them. My child specifically has grown to love school and in their own confidence! I would recommend this school to any one looking for a school to call home.Parent Review1y ago6 Reviews - Taylor Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI wished there were more extracurricular activities and events that foster parent involvement. However, my children are excited and look forward to going to class, every day and that speaks volumes. The academic progress my children make yearly is 100% the result of the arduous work of their teachers. The administration has an open door policy and is willing to work with parents as quickly as an issue arises. The bullying is addressed internally and immediately. I trust my children are safe and treated fairly at this school. I would recommend this school over all the other neighboring schools.Parent Review1y ago9 Reviews - Annunciata School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school does not know how to effectively communicate. The principal does not know how to delegate, she sweeps problems under the rug and tells you want you want to hear. There is bullying at the school and nothing gets done about it. Nothing gets enforced at the school. Stay away from this school.Other Review2y ago7 Reviews - Southeast Area Elementary School
