I never write reviews but I felt this was necessary. I dont think I can say specific teacher's name's here, but if your child is in special education (in a 3-5 intergrated classroom), please consider private school or other placement. My child's experience here was heartbreaking. Dont be mislead by the perceived status of the school. If you want a safe, caring educator for your child, look elsewhere.

Our family has had a wonderful experience at Brumby Elementary School. Both of our children, our son and daughter, attended Brumby, and it has truly been a special place for our family. The principal is outstanding, and the teachers genuinely care about the kids and their growth, both academically and personally.Our son has since graduated and moved on to the neighboring middle school, but Brumby played a huge role in shaping his confidence and interests. Our daughter is still there and is absolutely blossoming. She’s found a quirky, diverse group of friends where she feels accepted and supported, which means everything to us as parents.I also want to give special recognition to Mr. Branch, who manages so many programs at the school. His dedication helped our son discover a hidden talent for piano, something we may have never known otherwise. That kind of impact lasts a lifetime.If I had one concern, it’s not with the school itself but with a broader issue seen across many schools today: uninvolved parents. Schools like Brumby do incredible work, but they thrive best when families are equally engaged. Overall, we’re incredibly grateful for the community, leadership, and care Brumby Elementary provides.

This school is known for how bad they have been with special education. There’s an effort to keep kids with disabilities segregated from general activities and old view of neurodiversity. If you are a parent of a a kid with disabilities you will have to find an advocate for your kid to be included in general class and still having awful high rates of restraints and isolation as their way to help kids with strong emotions and complex behaviors with IEPs. Attended there as an alum. Was going through a hard time and the school offered no support. Instead, admin decided that it was best to get their counselor to orchestrate an elaborate plan to breakup me and my current boyfriend at the time in a very public setting during school hours. The counselor and the boyfriend had been drafting this plan for months over email. Admin stood by her decision to put me through this traumatic experience despite the fact that it was extremely unprofessional to involve herself in any way. This led to my eventual expulsion junior year. This was extremely traumatic and humiliating for me. I was treated as a threat by teachers, admin, and even my friends. You may not believe my experience or think I am a bot or a resentful person, but this experience was in fact, truly real and essentially ruined my high school career. The lesson I learned from this school was that if you are going through a tough emotional time as a minor, this school will not hesitate to band together to do anything in its power to kick you out of their bubble to protect their pristine image. Do yourself a favor and never trust them. Go to Marist, Lovett, or Mt, Vernon instead. Go to a school that will truly protect its students from harm instead of doing the harming.

Shreiner is an excellent school! Its definitely a gem and a parent's dream come true. Challenging academics accompanied by a nurturing and diverse environment. This is our first year at Shreiner and we have extremely high academic expectations that have been met by the PreK teachers and Director. Very satisfied.
