10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAdministration is terrible. The assistant principal is more involved than Cantu, the actual principal. Another parent mentioned that there's a lot of parent involvement, which isn't true. Maybe at that time? But it's no longer. They couldn't even get parents to sign up for PTA positions this year. They did end up finally filling spots, but it's obviously not great "parent involvement". They have only two real events a year, Trunk or Treat and a Field Day. Only one of them is fun for the kids (trunk or treat), the other is just a money grab to fund a PTA that adds nothing to the school in terms of improvements. I'd like to see where the money is being spent because it's not on upgrades. The school itself is outdated, the outside PE area has dirt, ants, and old equipment. The classrooms and desks are subpar at best. No school dance, fun days, student lead activities, nothing that other schools get. If you have a child of special needs, especially physical, they do not accommodate here. If you have an issue with a teacher, they will say nothing to the teacher and pretty much tell you "too bad, can't make everyone happy", especially if the teacher has decent testing scores. Teacher communication is nonexistent. They do not challenge students to be better. They focus on the ones that will hurt their overall school score, but will not assist an already educationally inclined student to become better. Because of the area the school is in, it does attract a nicer array of students. This does help the overall rating of the school but the the roots (admin) are rotten here. It's just so unfortunate that there's not much to pick from in terms of quality around here, and when you think you found a gem, it's really just dung wrapped in some tin foil. Overall, would not recommend.Parent Review8mo ago14 Reviews - Garrison-Jones Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSimply amazing! The Principal, Assistant Principal, teachers and staff are all awesome people. My son has attended this school since Pre Vpk and is now in 5th grade. The teachers care about their students and even support them when no longer in their class. The Pioneer Day that they host every year my son never wanted to miss and looked forward to it every year. I can’t thank the whole staff enough. Job well done!! I highly recommend this school. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagethis place is just a day care they didn’t teach my kid at all just watched her. Ive changed schools and so glad I did. if you have a baby i recommend them, but if your kid is trying to thrive, this is not the place for them. The staff is all bla. none of them seem like they truly want to be there. I do not leave reviews that is not who I am but I have to let you guys know if you want to see your kid be successful. This is not the school for them my daughter is three years old, they did not celebrate her birthday. they never listened to anything that I needed them to do for my child. too expensive of a place for the things that they don’t do.Parent Review1y ago22 Reviews - Palm Harbor Montessori Academy

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThey turned off their Google Reviews, that should tell you everything. This school is pricey and you will receive absolutely nothing of quality for your child. My child went to PMH for his first experience ever outside of the home. The first 3 days they called me every day to tell me he hit his head—I understand it’s a Montessori, but are the children seriously not being watched?I didn’t worry too much, as kids are kids and there’s a large group to be watching in daycare. My son came home 2 weeks later with a chipped tooth and no explanation.Fast forward, I go to pick him up early, and the children are playing outside. What I saw was shocking, to say the very least. The kids were all hitting and fighting each other, it was literally toddler fight night. Again, kids are kids, but where is the teacher?!?!The teacher was on her cell phone, which alarmed me immensely. I reached out to the director to share my concerns, and her response was that they needed to release my son, as he was overly aggressive.I don’t pretend like my child is perfect, that information was alarming for me and I’d never want him to be unsafe around other kids. However, this was several weeks into our time at PMH and his teacher daily told me how amazing he was doing, and I hadn’t received so much as an incident report, so I had no idea he was doing so poorly. We cut ties and were very happy doing so. I do not recommend this school to anyone, it’s not worth the price nor the headache.Other Review8mo ago52 Reviews - Palm Harbor Montessori School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy experience was really amazing, the teachers and staff worked well together and did a terrific job with the kids. The Montessori way is very good for all ages and makes for very interesting work times with the children. They learn and have fun at the same time, which is quite thrilling to watch. Love this school and all the teachers and staff.Other Review1y ago4 Reviews - New Middle School
