"The neighborhood is quite and safe. The people around here very kind, friendly and everybody helps each other. The only thing that I don’t agree is with the high rental prices. It is something abusive"

"It's true that there is some public housing and smaller houses in a predominantly black neighborhood south and east of here but this is a lovely, family cul-de-sac and there are similar nice residential streets tucked north and west. Miami isn't known for being very integrated, but this is kind of a cool area in that there is a lot of middle-class and even luxury housing around here interspersed with working-class neighborhoods. Better to look at it than dismiss it as "hood.""

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLudlam has a family environment where every student is known by name—not just by their teacher, but by the principal, the office staff, the cafeteria team, and even the custodians. Children aren’t invisible in the hallways. Their personalities, strengths, and even their struggles are recognized and valued. Ludlam is truly a special, cozy place school.Teacher Review3mo ago22 Reviews - South Miami K-8 Center

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTo me, La Scuola is absolutely the best school! Amazing, nature-immersed campus, with a caring and attentive staff. Children have hands on experiences with real art materials, pottery, gardening, yoga etc... my 3 year old son comes home with his clothes "dirty" everyday and I love it, because I know he had a blast. Teacher sends daily journals with pics and info about the day. I also love that they're a sugar-free school and focus on healthy eating (you can take your own lunch or buy the lunch they provide, which is REAL food, not junk food). The whole school environment and community is very welcoming and respectful, including other parents and children. They hold regular communal events, like Friendsgiving Potluck, that reinforce that feeling. Only con: communication (from the school administration, not the teachers) is not the best and they seem a bit disorganized sometimes. But what can I say, no school is perfect. All I know is that my son never wants to come home when I arrive to pick him up and complains on Saturdays and Sundays because school is closed. That's priceless!Parent Review1y ago18 Reviews - St Thomas The Apostle Catholic School
