City Point

Our experience is pre k3-K. We have had a wonderful experience at Barnard. Our teachers have been incredibly dedicated, caring, and supportive. The “specials” teachers are also excellent (who teach pre k-8th), particularly in the subjects the school specializes in (science and tech). We are also excited about some new hires in the art, music, and physical education departments. The school is clean and the gardens are beautiful. The current administration is clearly making a real effort to improve the school and it shows. I can’t speak to the middle school, but so far we have been very happy with Barnard.

My children have had a great experience at FAME. We value that the school offers bilingual / biliterate teaching in English and Spanish starting in kindergarten. This past year they added Arabic for upper grades. The teachers are supportive and effective. There is a weekly event for parents to meet at the school called “Good Morning FAME.”

I’m a current student at Nathan Hale school in 7th grade. I joined the school in 5th grade, before that I was attending a catholic school in Branford. I had a few bad experiences at my old school which led to me switching here. In my past three years of being at this school, I’ve not learned a single new piece of information that I have not learned. In all I would not recommend unless your child is severely behind and wants to stay behind.
