"The tree lighting in downtown new haven, but mostly just the people. Everyone knows one another. I used to love walking to the grocery store or the bus stop and see my neighbors there too. "
  • Stephanie
"My commute to the train every morning or just downtown in general was excellent. It was between 5-15 min depending on time of day and how much traffic there was but never more than that. Bus service was convenient and there were many lines available."

"Dwight is a vibrant, cosmopolitan community. University Place is a remarkable street with all homes listed on the historic registry. The street is within two blocks of Yale's central campus and all the restaurants and theaters. It is a very cool place to live and should not be ignored if you are looking for a lifestyle that is fun, connected, and certainly if you are working at Yale, there is no more convenient place to be. "
  • Corinne B.
"This area is rapidly gentrifying, with small businesses coming into the area, and people renovating gorgeous historical properties. Very walkable. I've lived here for 16 years and never had safety issues."
  • Corinne B.
"I live at 163 Dwight, and purchased my Craftsman/Victorian house, built in 1890, in 1998. Since that time, I've witnessed the neighborhood progressively get better, with more home renovation, more businesses and coffee houses and restaurants, and much more safety. I would recommend this neighborhood to anyone."
