Posted by a student on 3/26/2026NH is a diverse, neighborhood driven school. The teachers have been great and resourceful despite the budget woes/competing salaries from other districts.
Posted by a parent on 8/6/2024Nathan hale is a wonderful, racially and socioeconomically school in New Haven. New haven offers a variety of programs for youth. Yale pathways to science and Morse academy are fantastic.

Posted by a parent on 10/17/2019We keep hearing about the wonderful Nathan Hale of yesterday. Too bad the Nathan Hale of today does not measure up. Bullying, cronyism, and general mediocrity is the rule while excellence has long since left the building.

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy experience with this school is very traumatic. My child arrived at Conte in the six grade. The staff changed my daughters IEP by conducting a PPT meeting without inviting me during this meeting they wiped out all of her special services that she has been receiving since birth to three. Fights break out daily. Special needs children are placed in regular classrooms due to the fact that they don’t have the staff to accommodate them. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have worked here as a substitute since September. It is a wonderfully supportive environment to work and learn. The students LOVE school. After spending a majority of their day there, upon their parents arrival they still ask to stay a bit longer. In response to the comment that warned of the dangerous neighborhood, I have never felt unsafe going to school.
