"Suburbs are better prolly. City isn’t very child friendly. I live on the border so it’s better there. "

"I don't work but my husband can get to the Denver Tech Center where he works in 20-25 minutes during rush hour and just 15 minutes other times. We are very close to I-25 which connects to everything. And Light Rail stations are close. "

"I absolutely love living in Virginia village. Everyone is very friendly and it’s close to everything. Highly recommend. Some of the houses are outdated but many people have been doing updates and making the neighborhood look beautiful! "

"I’ve lived in this neighborhood for 2 years and it’s been great. Like any neighborhood is still always good to be safe and take precautions but the people here too are lovely "

"There are so many dogs around town! We are a very dog friendly area. However, a lot of dog owners don't leash their dogs which could lead to danger with more aggressive dogs."

"It is a very dog friendly neighborhood. Even though there are breed brands in place, calling it by a different name gets them in. We had to take ours to the vet and get a letter saying ours is friendly and that we have had ours long before the ban showed up."

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIn our experience, the curriculum and overall rigor have not met expectations, and there is a lack of standards and oversight from the administration to ensure a strong academic foundation. While the student-teacher ratio looks appealing, it doesnt translate into a richer learning environment. Another issue that’s difficult to ignore is the level of turnover among lower elementary teachers. My child has 5 lead teachers in the 2.5 years she has been in lower elementary at MSD. We’ve also noticed a broader pattern of families choosing to leave in lower el, sometimes in the middle of the year. In our child’s current class, only about half of the students are expected to return next year, which clearly shows low satisfaction among families. Ultimately, we’ve made the decision to enroll our children elsewhere next year. I share all of this in the hope that the school’s leadership and Board take a close, thoughtful look at these trends and consider meaningful improvements, including holding current lower elementary administrators accountable for their shortcomings.Parent Review1mo ago32 Reviews
