NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI'm delighted to share my heartfelt review of Camellia Waldorf. It brings me immense joy to witness my daughter flourishing and coming into her own within the nurturing embrace of this remarkable institution. The campus itself is a haven of warmth and welcome. From the moment you step onto the grounds, there's a palpable sense of community and care. The environment exudes a sense of joy, creating a space where children can truly thrive. The classrooms are a testament to the school's commitment to providing a holistic and enriching education. They radiate warmth and comfort, creating an atmosphere conducive to learning and growth. It's evident that the teachers at Camellia Waldorf School are not just educators but nurturing guides who understand the unique needs of each child. One of the standout features of the school is the comforting presence of the teachers. They go above and beyond to ensure that every child feels supported and valued. Their dedication to fostering a positive learning experience is truly commendable, and it reflects in the happy faces of the children. What also sets Camellia Waldorf School apart is the emphasis on creating an environment of joy. Learning here isn't just about academics; it's about instilling a love for learning and cultivating a sense of curiosity and wonder in every child. The school places a strong emphasis on fostering a sense of unity and partnership between educators and families. The result is a community that goes beyond the boundaries of the classroom. Family involvement is not merely encouraged; it's celebrated as an integral part of the educational journey.Parents and guardians actively participate in various school activities, events, and initiatives, creating a network of support that extends far beyond the school gates. This collaborative approach not only enriches the educational experience for the children but also creates lasting bonds among families. My experience with Camellia Waldorf School has been nothing short of wonderful. It's a place where children not only receive an excellent education but also where they are encouraged to embrace their individuality and express themselves. I am grateful for the positive impact it has had on my daughter's growth and development. If you're seeking a school that prioritizes a holistic approach to education and fosters a joyful learning environment, Camellia Waldorf School is undoubtedly a shining example.Parent Review2y ago29 Reviews - Brookfield School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI want to be clear about the pros and cons, but ultimately I think the cons of this school outweigh the pros. We liked the teacher-student ratio and sometimes liked the accelerated curriculum (some assignments were not appropriate for the grade level at all, and sometimes it felt like things went too fast--not towards mastery..). My kid made friends and was happy. The teachers in the early grades were great. She liked going to school. PE program is great for what its worth. But here are the cons, and I think as a parent you really need to consider them. The school has changed quite a lot in the last few years with the change in administration. The current administration is most interested in making money (and now the school is owned by ISP). Whereas in the past students who were not a good fit academically might be turned away, I don't think that is the case any longer. It's about making money. The current principal is not making decisions that are in the best interests of all the children. The behavioral issues are rampant at the school. Children are getting bullied and hurt. It no longer felt like a safe environment. There are issues with the teachers and aftercare also not necessarily being held accountable, and some inappropriate conduct. There is a ton of teacher turnover unfortunately, even in the middle of the year. They have also hired teachers without experience or credentials to teach, and the children pay the price. The language program is touted as amazing, but is mostly worksheets. And most of these reviews that are positive have been incentivized--something prospective folks should be aware of. I'd save your money and think about another place, or public school.Parent Review1mo ago75 Reviews - Montessori Country Day

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur daughter has attended MCD for one year now, and we are completely satisfied. Being that we are both educators, we are extremely sensitive to our children's schools. When our daughter started MCD she had had two not-so-good experiences at other preschools. But at MCD, her experience has been positive from day one. The class is diverse linguistically and culturally as well as by student "ability." It is a truly "inclusive" classroom. MCD, by far, has been the best school we have had our children in. Our daughter has flourished and grown tremendously. At four and a half years old she is reading, writing, doing math and has an appetite for learning which amazes us. We recommend MCD without ANY reservations.Parent Review13y ago5 Reviews
