"I lived here going on my seventh year. I love it here the people are friendly. The neighborhood is very suburb like and I love the suburbs kids running playing, laughing, skipping, jumping it’s a wonderful place to raise kids walk your dog walk to the store but yet it still has a country."

"I’ve lived in this neighborhood for 9 years and it has been great. It is growing, so that could be a pro or con. Family-friendly, pet-friendly, and a lot of people out and about."

"The Santa drive through on top of the Fire Dept. engine every Christmas makes for a great evening. Elves follow Santa and hand out candy canes and collect food donations from families."

"Long commute just to get out of the neighborhood. The traffic and the traffic signals make it a challenge to get to the freeway in 20 minutes."

"We have lived in the West Sacramento area for over 12 years. We were one of the first families to move to the Bridgeway Island area. The parks are great, it is quite and family friendly. We are just a little over 10 minutes away from Sacramento Downtown. We are 10 minutes away from Raley Field, the new Sacramento King's Arena and the proposed soccer stadium. We feel like we are in the 'country' but just a few minutes away from the hub of the city. We could use more great restaurants in the area but with the all the major freeways easily accessible, it isn't that big of a deal. "

"This neighborhood is nestled next to the deep water channel and there are lots of birds, beavers, and wildlife all around. The North side of Solomon Island road backs up to a glorious pond and wildlife trail to the deep water channel. Lots of walking, bird watching, and casual family lifestyle packed into this little neighborhood. There are community centers with spray parks for the kids and boating. Baseball fields, soccer fields, and all close to shopping. Just a 10 minute drive to downtown Sacramento. Truly an amazing place to live!"

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is fine if your child has received the covid vaccine. My granddaughter has had covid in the past but because her parents have made an educated decision to not vaccinate her at this time the school and staff treat her like a leper. She has been sent home several times for reasons such as: having a runny nose, using a tissue in class or having sat next to someone at lunch who may or may not have been exposed to covid. No other children that sat by her were sent home...This school clearly puts their prejudice above educating their students.Parent Review2y ago - Bridgeway Island Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBridgeway Elementary has a major bullying issue. There is a "mean girls" like group, they continue to get away with distasteful behavior, but of course, the school can only do so much. It's also a reflection of the parenting behind the students in the group. Not a culture I want my child to be apart of.Parent Review10mo ago - Empowering Possibilities International Charter
