"It’s lighter than the Bay Area, but getting heavier as time goes by in one section of the freeway. The drive into the Bay Area is particularly heavy going towards Davis on the causeway."

"Lots of members of my neighborhood walk their dogs together. We look out for each other. However the neighborhood doesn’t really have any special events or activities. Garcia Bend Park is lovely! "

"There are several parks nearby, the Sacramento River is a short walk away. If you enjoy birds, there are beautiful birds all over the water way. There are bike trails that surround the pocket. The conveniences around this neighborhood are numerous. The pocket was well thought out and a great place to live."

"Nice neighborhood but becoming over priced. Lived here since 2001. Neighborhood is becoming a real NIMBLY neighborhood. Not as diverse and friendly as it once was. "

"They can walk along the River. There are lots of green belts. Sadly, many dog owners are irresponsible and don’t pick up their dog’s feces. (Mostly because they also violate leash laws and don’t leash their pets.) If you come to our neighborhood, bring your dogs, but please leash them and pick up after them!"

"The Pocket/Greenhaven is one of the better neighborhoods we’ve lived in. We moved here from the Silicon Valley and this place is such a beautiful place to raise our kids. It’s quiet and peaceful and within walking distance to schools, parks, grocery stores, the gym and more. "

"Dog owners love people to be polite and kind to them and their animals at all times. However, being out in public in this type of nice neighborhood. Most people feel safe to walk their animals along the Levy and side walks. I enjoy living in pocket and seeing everyone happy ! "

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI'm delighted to share my heartfelt review of Camellia Waldorf. It brings me immense joy to witness my daughter flourishing and coming into her own within the nurturing embrace of this remarkable institution. The campus itself is a haven of warmth and welcome. From the moment you step onto the grounds, there's a palpable sense of community and care. The environment exudes a sense of joy, creating a space where children can truly thrive. The classrooms are a testament to the school's commitment to providing a holistic and enriching education. They radiate warmth and comfort, creating an atmosphere conducive to learning and growth. It's evident that the teachers at Camellia Waldorf School are not just educators but nurturing guides who understand the unique needs of each child. One of the standout features of the school is the comforting presence of the teachers. They go above and beyond to ensure that every child feels supported and valued. Their dedication to fostering a positive learning experience is truly commendable, and it reflects in the happy faces of the children. What also sets Camellia Waldorf School apart is the emphasis on creating an environment of joy. Learning here isn't just about academics; it's about instilling a love for learning and cultivating a sense of curiosity and wonder in every child. The school places a strong emphasis on fostering a sense of unity and partnership between educators and families. The result is a community that goes beyond the boundaries of the classroom. Family involvement is not merely encouraged; it's celebrated as an integral part of the educational journey.Parents and guardians actively participate in various school activities, events, and initiatives, creating a network of support that extends far beyond the school gates. This collaborative approach not only enriches the educational experience for the children but also creates lasting bonds among families. My experience with Camellia Waldorf School has been nothing short of wonderful. It's a place where children not only receive an excellent education but also where they are encouraged to embrace their individuality and express themselves. I am grateful for the positive impact it has had on my daughter's growth and development. If you're seeking a school that prioritizes a holistic approach to education and fosters a joyful learning environment, Camellia Waldorf School is undoubtedly a shining example.Parent Review2y ago29 Reviews - Bergamo Montessori School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur daughter has attended MCD for one year now, and we are completely satisfied. Being that we are both educators, we are extremely sensitive to our children's schools. When our daughter started MCD she had had two not-so-good experiences at other preschools. But at MCD, her experience has been positive from day one. The class is diverse linguistically and culturally as well as by student "ability." It is a truly "inclusive" classroom. MCD, by far, has been the best school we have had our children in. Our daughter has flourished and grown tremendously. At four and a half years old she is reading, writing, doing math and has an appetite for learning which amazes us. We recommend MCD without ANY reservations.Parent Review12y ago5 Reviews
