NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI attended Southwestern Academy from 2009-2013 after attending a large, public middle school. While it was definitely an adjustment because of the smaller size, it was the best decision I made. The school offered a ton of club optins, extracurriculars, and field trips-- I was able to go camping for the first time in my life because of the school. The majority of my friends were international students from countries like Vietnam, Korea, China, Mexico, Russia, etc. so it was great to learn about new cultures. What the school does well, and conitnues to do today, is offer personal support to students and take in student requests and consideration when making porogram changes. The current head of school, Robin Jarchow, used to be our Dean fo Students, so she has created a student-centered learning and living environment. The school is alos located in the beautiful city of San Mairno, which is very calm and safe; a great learning environment for sure. If you are looking for a school that your child will be taken care of in their academics and personal endeavors, I highly recommend this school. Pricing is also in line (or even slightly cheaper) than other schools in the area even thoguh they offer a lot.Other Review4mo ago - Southwestern Academy
