"Lots of friendly dogs and owners, but they don’t pick up poop despite neighborhood efforts of offering bags and trash bins"

"I live Kensington adjacent in Normal Heights East for 20 years. it's a beautiful area to live close to wonderful restaurants and parks. I walk everywhere and I'm part of an incredible community, that's why I've lived here for so many years. It is my home."

"Crime is rising and rents are outrageous. It used to be one of the best places to live for a single woman. "

"Neighbors are hit or miss. Gentrification is making things nicer but the older folk need to sell or stop complaining. The homeless are obviously an issue but it’s not as bad as downtown and certainly worth putting up with for the walkability factor. "

"I lived there for 10 months while husband in the Navy in 1973. We actually lived in apartment 2. As young married at age 20 I felt safe. I had my first baby there. The apartment at that time was brand new. We loved it had nice neighbors. I felt safe."

"Normal Heights is an awesome community to live in. It is small with well defined borders and anywhere you live in the community you can walk to restaurants, bars, bike shops, parks and coffee shops. We host a restaurant walk and two street fairs annually. People are friendly and the avenue is always improving."
