"Limited sidewalks and street lighting at night. I rarely walk or stroll around in the area and drive everywhere. A few restaurants and a coffee shop is walkable, about 15 minutes on near Wilshire."

"Not too long, bad at certain times but not bad. You can find back roads and new ways to give to and from."

"You have parks within walking distance and the neighborhood is full of historical buildings and old architecture. Less than a mile away and your walking in a neighborhood with million dollar homes. "

"It’s a different neighborhood than it was just a few years ago. I think it works a best for people who leave the area for the day and if they go out they also leave the area for that and just stick around on the weekends. Then is very tolerable. "

"It’s changed a lot but it’s still in the middle of everything with attractions and parks that make it worth it still. "

"Lived here 2007 to 2021. Lots of fun for nightlife, outdoor activities, arts scene. Very central location: 10mins to Echo Park, Silverlake, West Hollywood. 15mins to Burbank or the mountains. 30mins to the beach. Areas are very mixed demographics from one block to the next. Street parked cars often have break-ins. Sidewalks are broken and cars speed through residential streets. Not great for a family."

"Only one park in Koreatown and it’s not that great for dogs. You’ll have to drive your dog to a better park "

"It’s bustling and close to everything you could need. We walk to most places - grocery stores, restaurants, the Grove, LACMA. It can be loud at times, and people love to drive too fast down residential streets, but otherwise it’s a nice place to live. "

"Walking distance to Trader Joe’s, post office, Staples, The Grove, etc. Parking can be difficult. If you say hi to someone, they will rarely say hi back. It’s safe to walk around at night. However, I usually can’t walk more than a block without seeing at least a couple homeless people."

"There is Nice walking track but there are also too many cars passing by! There is still plenty of space to walk or run with your dog in this neighborhood. People are all nice and understanding. There are so many restaurants close by that are dog-friendly. "

"It’s a relatively safe neighborhood, but there are also some sketchy people. There’s a younger crowd as well as well as a concert theatre nearby, so there is some nightlife."

"[6th and Manhattan] There are lots of families with kids, but it is still not the safest at night. Also, lots of homeless people and really hard-to-find street parking (specially at night). "

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have been extremely fortunate to have been a part of this community for the last 10 years. This school has TK-8 grade and has a very strong academic curriculum. The school is a catholic school and also implements religion into the courses the children learn. I have had children in the LAUSD system as well, and hands down recommend Christ the King school to any and all parents. It offers an amazing teaching community for the students and a strong community for families overall. In addition to academics, you can expect strong athletic programming. The school offers flag football, volleyball, basketball, and track and field from grades 3+. Soccer is offered for grades 7-8. They have a choir program, Drama club, Stage crew, music and dance classes as well. This school is the most affordable school in its area, and financial aid is available. Stop by for a visit, I promise you will be impressed.Parent Review1y ago6 Reviews - Yeshiva Rav Isacsohn / Torath Em
