"The subway line is coming but won’t be open until 2025. There are bus lines but we don’t use them. "

"Diversity and architecture are both very important aspects of the neighborhood. There are great small businesses as well, especially along Pico. Needs safer streets though as cars speed all the time and the area is pinch point for several main boulevards. "

"Parents need to be vigilant even if this is, relatively speaking, a safe neighborhood. Still, lighting is spotty in places. Carrying flashlights and moving in small groups are both good ideas for evenings"

"The neighborhood is okay. Neighbors are not very neighborly. Close to Larchmont Village. I enjoy going there and going to the Farmers Market on Sunday or people watching. "

"There are lots of dogs in this neighborhood. There are no dog parks in the area as far as I know. Most people walk their dogs before and after work. "

"This neighborhood has lots of free campsites for homeless residents. The general lack of parking spaces also makes parking a fun adventure that can last hours."

"The HPOZ in Miracle Mile is great, but walking on main sector streets right now is not very pleasant due to LAs rampant homelessness issue. "

"My commute is fast to almost all areas of LA. I feel safe saying that it takes 15-30 minutes driving to and from the west side / Santa Monica / Venice, east side, downtown LA and the valley. It’s very convenient for almost all areas. "

"There’s a lot of dogs around and there’s even an eco friendly dog wash in the neighborhood. At times there are dogs roaming off leash and random cats around but not a big deal I guess. I don’t own a dog so I’m not to sure what dog owners are looking for. "

"Miracle Mile is quieter than other mid-City neighborhoods, and crime is relatively low, but it’s still Morgantown to be vigilant and mindful of drivers going too fast, even on block with speed bumps."

"People walk their dogs all the time and at all hours of the day. Women will walk their dogs by themselves at night in the neighborhood, and it's safe! If you have a dog, this is a great area for walks."

"Residents are respectful of dog owners, as long as dogs are on leashes and their owners clean up after them, both of which are true the majority of the time, at least since I’ve been living here. Barking dogs can be an issue, with some residents allowing their pets to “express” themselves for longer than they shouldbefore calming them. This is my only dog related complaint."

"There are many families in this neighborhood. There are a couple of mediocre parks nearby. I don't think the neighborhood is necessarily the safest place but it's not the most dangerous by any means either. Midcity lands in the middle across the board. "

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe’ve decided to remove our child from Holy Spirit next year. The final straw was when my child came home and told me their class had to take the same standardized test over and over again. That’s not teaching—that’s basically memorizing the test until the scores look better. There are also serious issues with who is actually teaching the kids. Apparently you don’t even need a degree to teach here. On several occasions the janitor, the yard supervisor, and even the lunch lady were used to substitute in classrooms. That’s honestly shocking for a school that advertises itself as an academic program.I used to hear rumors about families leaving and I didn’t want to believe them, but after seeing things for myself I understand why so many parents walk away. This school seems much more focused on its image than on actually educating the kids. There’s no real STEM lab like they promote—it's basically just a small four-unit building with bathrooms.Kids deserve teachers who are qualified and a school that actually excites them about learning. Unfortunately that hasn’t been our experience here, so we’ll be taking our child somewhere else next year.Parent Review2mo ago11 Reviews - Roenne's School
