"It's quiet and feels safe. Pet-friendly. Several businesses are nearby, as well. My doctor's office and bank are minutes away. Grocery stores and restaurants are within walking distance."

"Sugar Creek is a popular upscale subdivision neighborhood in West Mobile near Grelot and Hillcrest Roads. The neighborhood has approximately 270 single-family homes, and features two convenient entrances, one on Hillcrest Rd and one on Grelot Rd. The minimum home size within the neighborhood is 2,400 square feet and most lots are estate size or larger and some lots are as large as 4 acres. Most homes were built in the 1980s and 1990s and many feature large backyards with swimming pools. The architectural style of the homes is varied and includes both single story and multi-story homes. Located less than 1 mile from the neighborhood is large neighborhood shopping center featuring a Winn-Dixie supermarket, CVS Pharmacy, and Starbucks – also nearby are several local restaurants and other service based businesses. A major regional shopping area is located 5 miles away and features national chain restaurants, Home Depot, Super Target, K-Mart, and Wal-Mart. Should you require access to night life or the central business district of the city, Sugar Creek is located approximately 11 miles west of downtown Mobile, and can be access with a 20 minute drive. The University of South Alabama a major research university is approximately 4 miles away. The location of the neighborhood is ideal within the Mobile metro area with easy access to the Brookley Aeroplex, I-10 and I-65. A large public recreation area, Cottage Hill Park is within a 5 minute walk of the neighborhood and features a public tennis center, walking trails, a large playground for children, soccer fields and a recently constructed dog park. Within the subdivision many residents use the neighborhood streets and sidewalks for jogging, walking and biking. Since the neighborhood features only two entrances and is not connected to other areas, traffic is limited and there is no cut-thru traffic. Sugar Creek is within the jurisdiction of Mobile County Public Schools and is zoned for Davidson High School."

"Wonderful cul de sac that gets very little thoroughfare. Friendly neighbors that take pride in their homes and keep the neighborhood beautiful."

And those who love the quality of life there are committed to maintaining and enhancing it through the Sugar Creek Homeowners Association. ~ Mobile Press Register “Sugar Creek is an excellent, sought-after neighborhood, with well-built homes and a convenient location in the hub of business, and close to mass transit, the airport, schools and hospitals" Odessa Hatfield ~ Prudential Cooper & Co., Inc. "We work and live in this wonderful house. We have made it both beautiful and utilitarian. The neighborhood is safe for the elderly, children, families, and pets. We are being transferred to another location and will miss all the pluses of the community and this home."
