4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOverall we've had a good experience with this school. The teachers are amazing and there are a lot of opportunities for community building here. The main issue is that some of the parents need to parent their children better. Also there is a huge learning disparity across the board in the classroom ... I know this comes from ESL and children not being read to, etc ... so the challenge is always laid upon the teacher to teach to those who are so far behind while also trying to keep the higher achievers busy so they don't become bored and/or not learning what they need to learn.Parent Review6y ago12 Reviews - Grantswood Community Elementary School

The principal goes over and beyond , she’s so sweet and cool. My kids love this school after transitioning from Georgia, they love the xtra care the teachers, principals, etc gives. I love this school.Parent Review2y ago6 Reviews - Cherokee Bend Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe chose Highlands School largely because of their emphasis on the ‘whole child’, i.e. on rigorous academics but also time and space for kids to be kids, try new things, make mistakes and learn from them, etc. We also liked the diversity of the student body. Our children went there 4K to 8th grade, and it was a very positive experience for all of them. The class sizes tend to get smaller in the middle school grades, and we considered moving to a different school in 5th or 6th grade. But we decided to try middle school at Highlands. Really glad we did. The small size and tight-knit team of middle school teachers makes for an atmosphere where early teens don’t have the choice to fade into the background. Every single student, by the end of middle school, learns how to be comfortable leading/taking the helm in different situations and also how to express their ideas and speak in front of people. It was a great place for our children.Parent Review1mo ago6 Reviews
