"Very safe neighborhood, a lot of law enforcement officers live here and neighbors are typically friendly. No loud parties and always see a lot of children playing in the streets. "

"I’ve lived here for over a year, have had friends that lived and live here. They have all been very happy in this neighborhood. Every one watches out for our neighbors and neighborhood. It’s in the perfect location with being so close to shopping and the Minnesota and Seward Highway. Perfect location. "

"Neighborhood is nice, quiet, clean. Nice place to live if you can manage NOT to be part of an HOA. There made up rules can become ridiculous. "

"I have lived in this neighborhood for 8 years, and have found it to be a safe, quiet area with neighbors who are long term residents. No high community turnover, kids play in the cul de sacs, people watch out for each other and seem friendly. "

"Most people keep their dogs safe in yards. Most who walk their dogs carry bags and clean up. Few people let them run free to do their business in your yard. Unfortunately cats are not kept inside and run free and they are all over your yard."

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhen I enrolled my son in this school, they told me they do have a great program to work with kids with an IEP. The teacher refused to help him in any way even with his IEP in place then would make complaints about my son. I brought in every IEP evaluation he’s ever had and showed her how every teacher he has ever had loved him and how this specific teacher didn’t make time for him then wondered why he wasn’t doing well. I pulled him out that very same day.Parent Review5y ago13 Reviews - Kasuun Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe toured this school in February during a kindergarten event and the principal showed us around. It's a nice school and seemed well cared for. The principal was very nice and answered all of our questions and concerns. Every teacher or staff member that I have interacted with have been kind and helpful. My daughter is going to kindergarten and her teacher Mrs. Eikenbary and TA Mrs. S. are amazing. My daughter loves seeing her teachers everyday and they care about their students. Even with classes being online so far they have taken the time to help my daughter whenever she needs it. We also love that we can still get library books every week!Parent Review5y ago4 Reviews - Focus Homeschool

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have had 3 children attend PNA over the past 14 years, each of them very different personalities and learner types. We have been impressed with the ability of the school to create an exceptional experience for each of them, whether it's their social emotional learning, or keeping them challenged or building confidence in a subject. While it's a small school, my experience has shown that the kids who spend multiple years at PNA, truly leave with a love of learning and self confidence. Transitioning from a small middle school to public school in Anchorage is not an issue when you do so with a solid academic base, the expectation of engaging in what you are learning in a deep way, and the self confidence in yourself, all things cultivated at PNA. Our kids come home regularly telling us they had a great or amazing day!Parent Review2y ago22 Reviews
