The property is 15 minutes from Placerville and the historic mining town of Georgetown. Also, Chili Bar, a park and rafting launch site on the American River, is just seven minutes down the hill.

    "Eskaton has great dog paths, it's a retirement community in Placerville and very quiet and friendly. For the most part people pick up their dog doo but occasionally you get a few bad apples. But that's anywhere I think. Overall, the community has a lot of different diverse walking paths with poop poles strategically placed. "
