Rare to find. Very cozy Alaskan Nordic creek side retreat in the woods. Centrally located in Anchorage with direct access to Campbell Creek and Campbell Creek Trail which is paved (GROOMED IN THE WINTER) and offers access to over 100 miles of trail system throughout Anchorage. search: Alaska Nordic Creek Chalet

The property has three units: this unit, no.2 and also Alaska Nordic Creek Chalet no.1 and no.3. Each has private parking, entry and access to the backyard and trail.

Skip the expense and the shade in Girdwood / Alyeska while skiing in Alaska. Staying in Anchorage offers a much richer nightlife, variety of restaurants and the short 40 min drive to the resort is on the America's Top 100 Most Scenic Byways so your morning drive will be amazing and the sunset on the way home is epic every night.

- Professionally cleaned before each stay.

- Professional linen service using commercial hospital-grade sanitizing washers and dryers.

- Private off-street parking

Alaska Nordic | Creek Chalet no.2 is a peaceful and tranquil property located in a serene corner of the forest. It is incredibly vivid in the snowy months and begs one to come outside in the summer months.

The space is styled in Nordic fashion; simple, clean and elegant. 2bd/1ba chalet attached to the main unit. Luxury linens, high quality mattresses and location right on the Anchorage trail system make it hard to beat. The large South-facing front deck allows for morning sun with coffee and the private upper back deck is great to enjoy a drink and watch the creek flow by.

The property has three units: this unit no.2 and also Alaska Nordic Creek Chalet no.1 and Alaska Nordic Creek Chalet no.3. Each has private parking, entry and access to the backyard and trail.

Each unit is private, quiet and a different size so each can accommodate different group sizes.

If lucky, booking all units at the same time would facilitate an incredible home base for a large group or multiple families traveling together.

I am available to resolve issues, provide additional supplies and help with recommendations for your trip.

My wife and I were born and raised in Alaska. We are both explorers and adventurers so have a lot of personal experience in Alaska's outdoors. My wife has worked in the Alaska travel industry for a long time and is an expert with bookings and trip planning.

The property is located in one of Anchorage's first homesteads. As the family grew in generations the original homestead was divided over time into the smaller pieces we currently have. There are multiple descendants of the original homesteaders still living in the neighborhood.

This said, the property is very centrally located in Anchorage:

10 min to the Airport | 3 min to the Seward Hwy | 5 min to multiple restaurants
15 min to Flattop Mountain | 10 min to Downtown | 45 min to Girdwood

There is one off-street parking spot. There is also a city park that abuts the property where larger vehicles or those with trailers could park temporarily.

We have a private access trail to the Campbell Creek Trail and are directly next to a creek access park. The park has a nice small beach that is safe for kids. The Campbell Creek Trail is paved and connects to over 100 miles of city-wide trails for access to endless local adventures. Taku Lake is 1 mile South on the trail and offers a great morning view, fishing and sunshine. Peanut Farm Bar and Arctic Roadrunner Burger Joint are both .75 mile North on the trail and are both classic Alaskan watering holes with tons of historical pictures and a look at Alaska's short past.

Available by Request:

- Pack'n'Play | Dock'a'Tot | Sound Machine | Umbrella Stroller | Bath Toys | Toys | Books | Car Seat

-Two bikes are available once the trail is free of snow and ice after break-up

- IF you would like anything else, please ask, I more than likely can accommodate you.Monthly Furnished and Short Term Rentals For 30 Nights Or More

  • Rique G.
"My commute to work and downtown is t that bad at all. I have no problem getting to where I have to go on time."

  • Davis M.
"It’s a good place, no homeless people wandering around or crack heads. I also been living here for a year, so I can’t really say much."
  • Joe Y.
"It’s nice. No side walks, but there is a trail right down the street that takes you to a creek. This neighborhood is filled with businesses, but thats better than a lot of neighbors. It’s nice and quiet at night. "
  • Gindtc
"You see people walking dogs all the time on the trails. It seems relatively safe and people are friendly"
  • Cynder G.
"It’s a quiet neighborhood with a nice mix of friendly people. I love walking to Taku lake and enjoying the outdoors. "
  • Thomas P.
"nothing really, just run of the mill good place to live. great neighbors and neighborhood where it's safe for kids to play outside alone."
  • Lonetta B.
"It’s cool I like it, love the pound and walking the trail. Nice park! Good luck people! Love this area "
  • Cynder G.
"I live at 76th and Old Seward and am buying a house on 79th. This area is great because of it's fast access to major shopping and eating establishments. It's got fast access to the trail system within a couple blocks and Taku lake is beautiful. My favorite part is that even though this neighborhood is in the center of everything with great access to Seward Highway, it's also very quiet and the neighbors are friendly. "
  • sparksrt69
"Good place to raise children. Subdivision is separated from C street by a nice landscape wall. No through traffic on side streets."
