The Highland provided all of these in a prominent residential up-and-coming neighborhood, Volunteer Park at the time!

Located along 11th Avenue East there are many other luxury buildings on the block with similar features that were constructed in the same era. The Highland's architectural design has won many accolades throughout the past century and is now listed in the National Registry of Historic Places by the National Park Service, and The Washington Register of Historic Places!
