I honestly wouldn't recommend this school. A lot of concerns about staff stereotyping students and talking down to them were ignored by administration. Some students were even mocked for their home language and culture. Instead of feeling supported, many students are made to feel disrespected or worthless. My child's confidence and emotional well-being declined during their time there. There are few caring teachers, but overall the vibe felt very toxic and lacking accountability. No wonder the former principal was "transferred" during the school year.

Guyer is a heartless school that shames and punishes disabled students. Students aren't given time to make up assignments even with doctors' notes after hospital stays. Most schools provide tutoring and extra resources for disabled students. Guyer teachers yelled, shamed and failed students. Theses were terrible years for my granddaughter culminating in being erased her senior year. She wasn't pictured in the yearbook even though I tried talking to the school. Then she wasn't allowed to walk across the stage for graduation. I'm a retired educator. I've never seen such awful treatment of a student. She'll carry these wounds for years, if not forever.

Sucked, am past student. I literally got death threats and they didn't care.
