Schools send out fees through their bookkeeping department which has nothing to do with a student's performance in a classroom. I check my student’s grades about once a week since academic success is a priority in our household. They clearly understand that they are solely responsible for the grades they earn which is based on their effort. They know their grades are a reflection of how hard they work and that their only job is to learn so they would have to answer to me if anything was less than expected.

I am happy to see that others have had similar experiences to ours. CME is a great elementary school which provides a rich learning environment and a great atmosphere for kids. My 7 yr. old attends school at CME and based on my two years of interactions with staff I am extremely impressed with the teacher to parent communication and the learning curriculum. My daughter feels challenged and looks forward to school every morning. I truly believe that CME is a top three elementary school if not the absolute best in Lexington. If your kid(s) have the opportunity to attend CME I would highly recommend it. This will be one decision you will not regret.

My children both attended Jessie Clark MS. Both of them had good experiences there. My daughter had an incident with a male student there that went beyond school. The counselors, teachers, principal, staff and officers at the school took the situation very seriously and made sure my daughter was safe and that our family felt safe and that will always be appreciated. I do recall that both of my children had a lot of stress their 7th grade years there due to the amount of homework that was given, but I do feel like it prepared them for high school.
