What Locals Say about Meadowthorpe

  • Trulia User
"Our neighborhood is safe and quiet but full of vibrant people. Whether you’re a young family, a retiree, or just about anywhere in between, Meadowthorpe is a great place to live. The streets are beautiful and there’s a wonderful park. We have absolutely loved living here, and if you have young kids, there’s an elementary school right in the neighborhood. It’s one of the best rated in Lexington."
  • Angela B.
"It feels like you live out in the country! There’s so many beautiful trees and shrubbery that you cannot see the stores and businesses, restaurants etc a block away! The neighbors are friendly but don’t bother you! It’s a community that holds a neighborhood garage sale every summer! Awesome location and right next to the ramp for the hey!!"
  • Ameesque
"Loads of dog owners in the neighborhood, all fairly well behaved, though if you’re sensitive to barking you may be a bit put off! The cats are quieter ;)"
  • Lmwise69
"I’ve lived in this neighborhood for 6 months and I truly love it! It is so friendly, clean and feels so close-knit."
  • Rainphire
"Bus stops are a short walk away. Downtown is only 2 miles away. Traffic can bottleneck badly during rush-hour at Taylor and Leestown."
  • Shetara F.
"Laidback. No complaints here. It is close to a lot of good places and all are in walking distance. There is also a school located in the back. "
  • Kristycgoins
"I love this neighborhood I've lived here for just a year and I absolutely love it it is quiet and beautiful the only problem I have is the sound from New Circle Road other than that it is close to shopping downtown the freeways and it is a beautiful neighborhood! :-)"
