Features of this Amazing Home Include: A spacious entry with soaring ceilings, radiant in floor heat, Moravian Star, custom-made Hubbardton Forge sconces with water glass Lighting throughout the house is predominately custom made in Vermont by Hubbardton Forge Floors in main house are cherry Floors on three floors of the addition are maple laminate Downstairs bath and mudroom have new floors of Daltile travertine ALL the windows in the house were replaced to match the new windows in the additionâEUR"custom made Jeld-Wen windows with solid cherry interiors Windows and door framing throughout the house is solid cherry as well as the first floor interior doors Wood stove in living room has slate hearth. The stove is a Hearthstone soapstone Mansfield 8012: heating capacity 2500 square feet The tile surrounding the gas fireplace in the living room is over 100 years old, made in England and salvaged from a mansion in Montevideo Uruguay. Water drop motif and glacial blues to reflect the Alaskan climate Dining room and kitchen cabinets and shelving are all hand-crafted by Jon Deel Woodworking of solid cherry The kitchen island as well as the cabinet below the hanging cabinet have Tiger Maple tops. The rest of the island, the kitchen counters and back splash are un-honed black quartzite and the baking counter under the cherry floating shelves is a 2" slab of maple butcher block The sink is a Rohl Shaw Farm sink and there is a Rohl prep sink on the island The refrigerator is a GE Monogram, side by side, double drawer, there is an additional refrigerator in the mudroom The gas stove is an Electrolux with a stainless hood The kitchen, exercise room, office/family room and fourth bedroom/studio all have in floor radiant heating. The rest of the house is forced hot air Second floor laundry has a Whirlpool washer and Fisher Paykel dryer The office/family room has Cat 5 wiring with a network hub in the closet and a separate entrance. The neighborhood has brand new GCI fiber optic cable Exercise room has a custom made cedar sauna that easily fits four and has a Finlandia 8000w sauna heater with rocks. There is a separate entrance to the exercise room as well Rock walls were built to hold terraced garden next to the addition. There is a custom rock walkway and established perennial gardens throughout the property A greenhouse/outside room for entertaining was constructed from extra Jeld-Wen windows. The entire house was sided with A grade clear White Cedar shingles. All exterior painting was done in 2013 The roof was redone in 2013 with CertainTeed Landmark 30 shingles in Hunter Green. The warranty registration is #R1306736. Gutters were installed after the roof was done and there is a French drain to the left of the front door that empties out over the bank The driveway was paved two years ago The huge heated 3 car garage is 1,140 square feet and is plumbed for a sink There are views of Anchorage and Denali and gorgeous views of the North Fork Stuckagain Heights has the most access to Chugach State Park and Far North Bicentennial Park. A steady stream of wildlife travels through the yard: lynx, bears, moose and coyote. Eagles fly above and all the downtown ravens fly directly over the house to nest in the mount
