Baxter Elementary School

Ok but needs a lot of improvements…. Better assignments for actual grade level, more organized, better solutions from staff for parents questions…,

The principal david christal is horrible. Many parents I have talked to have said the same. He's very rude and condescending. He does not care about bullying. He doesn't try to resolve conflict. The teachers were more help than he was . The school has gone down hill since the last principal left. I would not recommend this school to anyone .

Have a child there in 3rd grade, teachers are wonderful and very helpful

My siblings and I have all attended Scenic Park for majority of our elementary school years. I remember always being heard and cared for. I felt like I learned so much more at Scenic Park than I had at my first elementary school. I always looked forward to attending class.

Both my kids went to this school and every teacher they had was amazing, they always communicated with me and were on top of helping my younger one advance in reading. Any time there was a problem in school or on the bus the office staff was quick to remedy the problem. Everyone there was kind, patient, happy to be there and genuinely cared about the kids. I was also impressed with the office staff and principle, from what I could see they new ALL the kids by name (I volunteered at the school and was there for a couple of years quite often). I've heard from friends of some of the horror stories about the school their kids go to and the problems they are having and I'm shocked, I've only had wonderful experiences with Susitna. The learning scale I did mark average, because lets face it what kid wants to go to school (not many) and the special education I'm not sure at all, never interacted with that side of the school, but by judging the staff I can imagine they did great.
