"A high-end town in NW DC, Cathedral Heights offers mini shopping areas and restaurants, the wonderful youth of American University, and of course, the National Cathedral. Smaller churches lie blocks from eachother, scattered throughout the neighborhoods. The people are friendly and children are seen everywhere. There is plenty of foliage, where woodland creatures can be seen scurrying or prancing. For the most part this area can sustain itself, with smaller commerce, businesses, even [Homeland Security], all in its vicinity. I see no reason to leave. "

"American University Park (aka Tenleytown) is one of the loveliest neighborhoods in Washington, DC. It is a quiet, leafy, family-oriented community near excellent transportation and restaurants. Lots tend to be large and well-tended. For all these reasons, homes tend to sell very fast."

"After living in a rural area, I came back to DC to live with and help my elderly parent. I thought I would hate DC and this neighborhood for all the typical reasons, like it's crowded, dirty, polluted, noisy. I found, surprisingly, that I love living here and this particular building is fantastic. The neighborhood is safe, has great schools, it's walking distance to shops, nightlife, AU and Metrorail, or you can take a bus, the traffic moves well (except at the height of rush hour), it's very clean, there's parking on the street and around this building, there's a park down the street and you can hike all the way to the Potomac, it's not far from the museums and Kennedy Center (I've ridden a bike and taken Metro), it's almost in Georgetown but without the high prices, smallish dogs are allowed, it's close to the C&O Canal and Capital Crescent Trail----well, this is as good as city living gets. I thought I would be pining for my former rural life but no---this is a great building in an excellent and affordable building, in a super city."
