  • Trulia User
"A very safe and clean, peaceful neighborhood in SF. Parks and playgrounds nearby and you often see moms strolling around nearby. It can be chilly here with fog but I feel very comfortable here. "
  • Trulia User
"I grew up in this neighborhood and at one time hoped to raise MY own children here. Unfortunately, I moved across the country. I'm planning on returning, purchasing my childhood home, & retiring there one day. My hope is that my daughter may one day raise HER children there. As this it's the Safest, friendliest, most comfortable neighborhood in the country as far as I'm concerned. ❤ 😍 💖 "
  • Iaregalado
"Very family friendly and safe. Lots to do, public parks, restaurants, boutiques, and coffee shops. Beautiful houses as well as clean sidewalks and landscapes. Also a good view of the Golden Gate Bridge if you go to Spruce and Washington. "
  • Keith B.
"Nicest neighborhood for families and kids in SF. Easy parking. Easy access to downtown, marina, GG Park and of the course the Presidio. Highly recommend."
  • Joannemarriecec
"everything is accessible most noticeable is how peaceful and safe the neighborhood is especially during the night. "
  • Dbinet1
"Halloween is done very well in this neighborhood. The decorations and the treats are all top notch."
  • Joseph M.
"Events at Presidio, Jewish Community Center, and Claire Lilienthal School as well as Golden Gate Park, a short walk away"
  • TheReviewer
"Actually don't know much about Presidio heights except that it's bad for commuting to places and super hilly. Don't know if this counts as a correct review."
  • Abbottmullinix
"This neighborhood has an extremely high walkability score. Laurel Village is 5 minutes away and has businesses that meet most everyday needs: 2 local independent grocery stores, wine shop, Walgreens, Ace hardware and 5&10, banks, bookstore, card shop, mini Sephora(planned) and a 24/7 Starbucks. In addition, within a 20 minutes walk there is a City Target, Trader Joe’s, US Post Office, FedEx Office and an Office Max. The local Jewish Community Center opened to all has some of the best fitness programs in the city and the Presidio National Park abutting the neighborhood has beautiful hiking trails down to the water. "
  • Daniel B.
"There lots of great shopping as well as good restaurants all in walking distance. A Peets coffee and a 24 hour Starbucks. Buses run regularly nearby. "
  • Jphcjs
"Beautiful homes, relatively easy parking. Rich jerks everywhere who will run you down at each four-way stop without looking up from their phones."
  • Hammerbake
"Lived in this neighborhood for over 45 years in 5 separate residences.. it’s lovely, close to everything I need and easier than most neighborhoods to park.. it’s right adjacent to the presidio and other lovely parks.. and an easy walk to coffee and shopping."
  • Maria S.
"The accessibility to the Presidio is fantastic for dog owners. It is a very dog-friendly neighborhood. Beware of coyotes."
  • Maria S.
"It is a beautiful neighborhood with beautiful homes and is within walking distance to both the Presidio and Golden Gate Park. It has some of the best restaurants and cafes in San Francisco. The Presidio is a beautiful park and is perfect for easy hikes and walks. There is so much to explore there."
  • Maria S.
"It is close to some major bus lines, which makes it easy to get around the city using public transportation. It is also easily accessible by car, but parking can get tricky in the afternoons and on the weekends."
  • Maria S.
"It is a really safe and family friendly neighborhood."
  • Kate S.
"Dog owners would like that there's a bunch of parks around and tons of stands with poop bags."
  • Kate S.
