6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt’s a shame that the school has teachers and staff who take their personal frustrations out on children. My daughter upon many occasions was bullied in this school and things were left unsolved and the individuals were not disciplined, even when a young man lifted up her clothing to expose her. There are teachers there that feel like it’s appropriate to enforce their ideologies of what parenting in their eyes should look like. If you have an issue with a teacher the tactic to address the issue with the teacher is to attack the parent instead and never resolve or address the issue at hand. If I can give this school a 0 rating I would. There are some really great teachers and staff there who if could be rated separately I would. But as whole if you want to emotionally damage your child and have people disrespect you as a parent please look no further this is the place.Parent Review2y ago - James J. Ferris High School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is a mess there’s cockroach in every bathroom dirty and teacher all dirty and treat certain kids differently then another day my daughter got caught with a device and there were consequences against her but when another student does it no action is taken place they would always let them FREE and kid felt like a target this is school not a PRISON this school is out of control and I had to transfer my child out of here so if I were you I WOULDNT ENROLL not my kids, nieces nor nephews to here very dirty very bad serviceOther Review1mo ago - Cornelia F. 9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePS16 in Jersey City will be our reason to move from Jersey City. I am really surprised how the school still holds a high rating, since the system is shockingly disappointing. The school is extremely under-resourced, classes are so crowded (ratio 30:1) that kids need to sit on a rug on the floor during school hours, after school programs are offered to barely 5% of the students and, most importantly, teachers are not communicative and under skilled. Unfortunately, the list could keep going. We had very high expectations, both my husband and I are PhDs and we do understand the importance of a good education system, especially at this age. The school is completely failing its mission, the kids will be heavily affected by this situation. I am envisioning a very quickly approaching drop in ratingParent Review5mo ago - Check out schools near 299 Marin Blvd #19.
