Currently, my son is in the Pre-K 4 class at PS 3, and we are very satisfied with the facility itself, school staff, learning process, and teachers’ approach. I would definitely recommend the school to others.

Horrible Experience – Negligent Staff and Money-Hungry OwnerI’m extremely disappointed with Waterfront Montessori. Their staff is shockingly negligent—I was appalled to find my 3-year-old daughter left uncomfortable and unattended in her own mess. When I brought this serious issue to their attention, the owner responded rudely and dismissively, clearly prioritizing money over children’s care and wellbeing. It’s unacceptable for any preschool, especially one charging premium fees, to show such disregard for basic child care and hygiene. I strongly advise parents to look elsewhere to protect their children from this negligent, profit-driven environment.

This school is incompetent and doesn’t take mental health seriously. They also extremely don’t accommodate students with disabilities even though they claim they do. Specific teachers have been hired and talk bad about other students in inappropriate ways in-front of other students.

My son has been going to this school since pre-k and is now in 1st grade, and I truly love it. From the very beginning, the staff has been incredibly supportive and attentive. They noticed things about my son that I hadn’t picked up on myself and recommended occupational therapy, which eventually led to getting him evaluated for autism.That kind of care and awareness made a huge difference in our lives. Instead of overlooking his needs, they leaned in and helped guide us toward the support he needed early on. Because of that, my son has been able to grow, develop, and thrive in ways that might not have happened otherwise.I also make it a priority to stay as involved as possible, and the school really makes that easy. The staff is welcoming, communication is clear, and even the administrative side like invoicing—is straightforward and organized.As a Black parent at a predominantly white school, being present means even more to me. I want to make sure, first and foremost, that I’m showing up for my son. But it’s also important to me to be visible—to show other families, of all backgrounds, that we are here, that we belong, and that our children deserve access to great education and supportive environments like this.I’ve seen other parents come in upset or with concerns, and I’ve also seen the way the school engages with them. From my experience, there is a genuine effort to listen, support, and find solutions, which I respect.What I appreciate most is that the school doesn’t treat every child the same. What I mean is that they really take the time to understand each student as an individual. I’ve always felt like we’re working as a team when it comes to my son’s development, and that means everything as a parent.I’m grateful for the teachers, staff, and the overall environment they’ve created. It’s a place where my son feels supported, and that gives me real peace of mind.
