Description

This wonderful and historic building started as Commerce Bank, became Citizens Bank, for awhile was the DMV where many of us got our driver licenses, and is now full occupied by a tenant who runs a massage therapy school. The old vault to the bank is still there, as well as many other original features. There was a new boiler installed in 2009. The buyer of this building will be offered a 35 space m/l parking lot to the south of the building across the alley, for an additional price of $80,000. Call for your private viewing.
This property is off market, which means it's not currently listed for sale or rent on Trulia. This may be different from what's available on other websites or public sources.

"Historic area houses are all very neat and clean. Craftsman style. Nice neighborhood. I’m ready to move in I’m hopeful it’s still available. "
  • Trulia User
"Dogs welcome and neighborhood is friendly. Very historic and a lot of people have lived here their whole lives. Convenient for shopping and the elementary school is new. "
  • Trulia User
"There are a lot of families living in the area and some nice parks. Commercial Street is really nice and beautiful historic buildings line the street. However there is a lot of homelessness in the area as well."
  • Trulia User
"lots of people walk dogs, it is a friendly neighborhood. lots of families, college students. the yards are well maintained and there are restaurants, theaters, shopping, sporting places nearby. "
  • Beth S.
"there is way to much crime and violence around this neighbor. I would never suggest any one with kids be apart of this trash"
  • Alyssa R. M.
"I’ve heard a lot of gunshots and someone attempted to break into my house in the middle of the day. The neighbors seem to be nice."
  • King.florida@gmail.com
"I've lived here for a year. Some neighbors like to party with music but usually end by 11pm. Not a bad place. Also close to Drury University, beautiful houses."
  • Nolina244
"I've lived in this neighborhood for eight years and it hasn't changed much. they've reconstructed some things in the area and they have also discontinued some things like the homeless shelter at the Missouri Motel."
  • alr464
"I have lived in Midtown's Historic District for 15 years and my husband has lived in this neighborhood for over 22 years. The schools are the best in Springfield! They are the only International Baccalaureate school in the city for gifted students. Beautiful historic neighborhood with an active neighborhood association that is close to public parks and pools, shopping, night life, restaurants, cafes, theatres, etc..."
  • alr464
"Have lived here for 12 years and I love the Midtown neighborhood."
