Lease is not required & no set duration is required. Owner & Tenant both agree to provide eachother at least one month of notice prior to ending the rental & Tenant gives Owner permission to show the apartment during the last month (with prior notice each time). Owner is on the premises in a separate apartment. No smoking indoors. Property has parking spots, but at this time they are all rented out; however, if Tenant needs a temporary spot, oftentimes that can be easily arranged if Tenant communicates with Owner in advance. Good communication is very important for everything! Tenant is responsible for keeping the apartment, the back outdoor steps to the apt, & the entrance foyer outside the apt front door (which is secured with a steel security gate) clean.

    "Lots of buses available but some come much more frequently than others. I take 90/96 to U Street metro then take green line to Navy Yard, which ends up being 40 to 45 minutes. The drive can be anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour depending on traffic."
