NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDate: July 2023. We absolutely love Baldwin! My 4 year old reads, and it began with Phonics at school at age 3. They use fun activities like preparing a huge birthday card to encourage writing, reading and drawing. Social emotional development, learning through play, varied fun crafts and activities, fun and informational themes for each week and so many fun events throughout the year to involve families. The principal and staff really care about the students. Safe drop off and safe pick up. My kid loves school and looks forward to it. Teachers also recognize different paces or stages of development and learning and pace the teaching as per the child's stage. Scribbling or pretend writing is also encouraged as a step towards writing. Communication with teachers is easy and transparent. 4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHarvard Kent has always been an amazing community school that really embraces their student body and strives to give the kids a great education. There were some bumps in the road with principal changes over the last few years, but the current (and permanent) principal has proven to be a huge asset. He loves the students, has a vision and is making huge improvements to the school every day (curriculum, school spirit, activities, engagement etc). We have considered sending our kids elsewhere but feel extremely committed to the school for all of our children. And as always - the teachers at the Harvard Kent are truly the warmest, smartest people and our kids leave every day feeling so loved.Parent Review5mo ago6 Reviews - Hugh Roe O'Donnell Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSchool is horrible and confusing. First off they allow the 6th grade math teacher to swear at the students, the specials program is super confusing it’s the same special for 4 months everyday And middle school isn't supposed to have the same special everyday. Bullying has became a daily problem at the school. Apparently the period programs are as confusing as the specials program. Because why do the students have double periods, its confusing like really. And the administration team has the absolute guts to blame you for the most wildest thing ever just because of they think you did something but they dont even let you explain from your side of the story. This school sets bad examples and they just like to do their own thing over there. I am mostly speaking for the middle school students, For kindergarten and elementary this school is Average but for middle school its just horrible.Other Review1y ago3 Reviews - Manning Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is extremely bad. The students here are incredibly disrespectful, swear a lot, fight, bang on doors, and even fight on campus very frequently, especially in 7th grade where they push each other a lot. I repeat, fighting is extremely, extremely bad. Students hide in the restrooms smoking e-cigarettes, and if students swear, the teachers turn a blind eye. The skipping rate at this school is extremely high. For example, I was in recess in the gym until lunchtime, and for some reason another student pushed me hard. In short, if you're choosing a school for your child, avoid this one.Student Review1mo ago9 Reviews - East Boston Early Childhood Center

"Parks are well maintained and waterfront areas are nice. Police are everywhere and it feels very safe. Very family oriented with neighborhood schools nearby. Lots of kids walking and moms with strollers. Walk up slushy spots and great coffee shops and one of the best pizza places know to Boston… “Santarpios”. Easy access to the airport and the train is just a couple of stops from Faneuil Hall and downtown. The water taxi is easily accessible and lots new construction is turning this East Boston village into a new hotspot for living, dining and entertainment "

"Italian festivals during August are so much fun and have the best food. While it can get a little too crowded, I love seeing the parades march past my apartment. I love all the great food I get to try during the festivals as well. There are a bunch of bocce ball tournaments that happen as well. Usually for a fundraiser. bocce ball tournaments, Saint parades throughout the summer"
