"I’ve lived here since 2017 . This is the longest I’ve stayed renting one place . Personally I love my neighbors a the area I’m in . Literally have not had one problem in the 7 years I’ve been here . But all my other homes on the opposite side of town I’ve had all sorts of problems . But my neighborhood is unique bc my neighbors are more like family. We watch out for one another we help one another! "
  • Jackie J.
"I live in Marion. it's a nice place to raise a family. It has a family oriented structure to the town."
  • Matthew M.
"Light traffic usually to get across town it takes 15 minutes , rarely get caught by red lights, plenty of routes to get to main destinations "
  • Davis0657
"the downtown is undergoing a giant rehab. buildings are being redone and look amazing. new shops and restaurants are going in and everything is really becoming amazing"
  • Bean
"There is a dog park, and it seems as a pretty welcoming place to take your animals. Some places do not seem very fit considering bad sidewalks or unmanaged yards but most of the town is fine!"
  • Trulia User
"Most homes have fenced in yards, and sidewalks for walking them. I see a lot of dogs out with owners, and there is a dog park just on the edge of town."
  • Jessicalm22
"The neighborhood that I live in isn’t a spontaneous one. Dog owners would probably not feel safe walking around."
  • Braudblade
"terrible town. that being said it has made leaps and bounds trying to build itself up from the bottom."
  • Tharding121894

  • Simone43302
"I've lived in this area for two years now and there is a great feeling of community within the churches and recovery groups. "
  • Crowe_farms
"I have worked in the Marion area when I was younger. I raised 4 children in Marion, three of which graduated from River Valley High School prior to our moving. One has retured to live here again and opperated a Beauty Salon. I loved the area as is was a smaller community, much like the one I was raised in. I recently married and moved away, but hope to return in 5 years when my husband retires !!"
  • Teri Y.
"this area is close to shopping and nice and quiet. dennis ave is a dead end street so there is little traffic. you feel like you are in the country but close to the city."
  • Thingstogrowon
"Beautiful area just off Mt. Vernon Blvd. Conducive to small family, single, couple or retirees. Close to shopping of all kind and downtown."
