Harvard Kent has always been an amazing community school that really embraces their student body and strives to give the kids a great education. There were some bumps in the road with principal changes over the last few years, but the current (and permanent) principal has proven to be a huge asset. He loves the students, has a vision and is making huge improvements to the school every day (curriculum, school spirit, activities, engagement etc). We have considered sending our kids elsewhere but feel extremely committed to the school for all of our children. And as always - the teachers at the Harvard Kent are truly the warmest, smartest people and our kids leave every day feeling so loved.

I honestly didn't like this school, people are mean and the staff too, sometimes they went to far.

I went to this school and I got bullied and tormented by the older kids and as the only white kid there I got called the n word hard R at least 25 years times a day and I saw a 5th grader on campus with a Glock so I do not reccomend this s by for a child

School is horrible and confusing. First off they allow the 6th grade math teacher to swear at the students, the specials program is super confusing it’s the same special for 4 months everyday And middle school isn't supposed to have the same special everyday. Bullying has became a daily problem at the school. Apparently the period programs are as confusing as the specials program. Because why do the students have double periods, its confusing like really. And the administration team has the absolute guts to blame you for the most wildest thing ever just because of they think you did something but they dont even let you explain from your side of the story. This school sets bad examples and they just like to do their own thing over there. I am mostly speaking for the middle school students, For kindergarten and elementary this school is Average but for middle school its just horrible.

The school is good fr learning but the food is a little bit below average school lunches : )

My son has been at Perry for 5 years. Every teacher has been invested, caring, communicative, and demanding of the kids. Parents are all involved, friendly, and look out for each other’s children. Great outcomes have resulted! 10/10 school.

Schools bullying policy is basically non existent, school sweeps alot under the rugs . Not best for children's mental health

This school is terrible.The student body has extreme behavior issues that prevent most teaching and learning from happening. In classrooms you will see kids throwing things and screaming, and ignoring staff. Students are mean to each other and disrespectful to adults. Academic performance is very low - only 5-10% of students are at grade level.There are no real consequences for student misbehavior or academic failure. Safety is a serious concern. There are constant student fights, property damage, and acts of violence against other students and staff. Used needles are regularly found on school grounds (staff does their best to mitigate this, but it is still extremely unsafe). I recommend that parents send their children elsewhere.

So far so good this is my daughter’s first year she’s in 3rd grade, she currently has a 504 plan and we are working on getting her an IEP. We Have all good things to say about this school I look forward to the rest of my daughter’s years here.
