2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a staff member at the school. If you are thinking of applying to work at Elkhart in ANY capacity, STAY AWAY!! You will be put through a lot of scrutiny by the current principal. She was promoted three years ago. Since she took over the school, the test schools have been steadily declining. Teachers are extremely unhappy. Close to 40 staff members from paras to teachers left the building over a two-year period. If you are disliked by the principal, she will do everything to distroy your career, reputation, and your self-esteem. The teachers are highly engaged with students throughout the day, and the staff truly care about creating a positive and supportive learning environment. My children feel safe, welcomed, and excited to come to school every day.Whenever I have had a question or concern, the staff has always been approachable, supportive, and ready to help. I have seen significant improvement in my children’s academics, and they absolutely love the hands-on learning experiences and activities the school provides.Another thing I truly appreciate is that there is very minimal bullying, and anytime something does happen, the staff addresses it quickly and works closely with students to provide support and resolve the situation appropriately.I highly recommend AXL Academy 100%. "It is a residential neighborhood, but there are many nearby good restaurants and shopping areas. We also have a thriving commercial area. There is also easy access to the highway and light rail."

"Depending on your commuting preferences, you can easily get here via highway access or by avoiding the highway and taking city streets. In my personal experience, just about everywhere I go is a commute of 30 minutes or less."
