The Details
You will never want to leave this lovely apartment, and when you must, everything you need is a mere footsteps away.

Large 1 BR occupying the entire first floor (above ground) of a charming, historic 1884 townhome. Located on quiet, tree-lined Corcoran street, you'll be just a few steps away from all the action on the 14th Street Corridor.

Huge living room features bay windows, decorative fireplace and contemporary ceiling fan. Bright, all-white open kitchen with prep island, dishwasher, energy efficient LG combo washer/dryer and microwave. In the spa bathroom listen to music through the Bluetooth showerhead and stay bacteria free with the touchless toilet.

Large bedroom features two closets, ceiling fan and blissful sunlight streaming through south-facing windows. The floors throughout (except the bathroom) are flaxen maple style and feel great beneath bare feet.

Private entrance to back garden patio, where you will be welcomed by none other than Colonel Sanders himself, along with other outdoor art installations. Lounge on the brand new wicker couch and two club chairs or eat alfresco on the dining set for two.

Water and sewer is included in the rent, as is FREE Fios cable TV (including HBO) and FREE WiFi. You will only be responsible for electric bill, which averages about $125 a month across the year.

We have owned and occupied the top floors since 1985, and we've only had 5 tenants during the past 35 years. Those who have lived here have loved the experience, thanks to the quality of the space, the prime location and the awesomeness of the landlords (that'd be us).

Rated as "Paradise' for walkers, transit users and bikers, within a block are two Capital Bikeshare stations, and 5 blocks away are both the U Street Metro Yellow/Green Lines and Dupont Circle Metro Red Line stations. While there is no need for a car to get almost everywhere, there is a reserved off-street parking spot available for your use (additional modest fee).

Do you eat? Great! There are 53 restaurants within 4 blocks, and it's a 4 minute walk to Whole Foods, 5 minute walk to Safeway, and 6 minute walk to Trader Joes. Also nearby are hardware stores, a florist, furniture stores, gift and clothing boutiques, two yoga studios and five gyms.

Small, precious and quiet dogs are welcome -- our Skye Terrier would love a playmate.
