About this House

You just might find that the sand is following you home - this place is only a half-block off the beach. Remodeled and nicely appointed FULLY FURNISHED 2BR 2BA second (top) floor corner unit with all the quality you want - plank-style flooring throughout; granite counters and stainless appliances in a fully outfitted, modern kitchen, wood cabinetry; bathrooms with custom tile work (no yucky fiberglass!); furnished for comfort with quality, tasteful furniture; and ceiling fans. High speed internet allows for a great streaming or gaming experience. (BTW in the photos, in the living room you'll get the big comfy recliner chairs and the caramel colored couch that you see in the first picture, they hadn't been delivered when we first did the photography.) Additionally, there's an on-site FREE laundry for tenants, a couple of BBQs and a fire pit, and bicycle storage.

But wait, there's more! It's located in the quaint beach community of Carpinteria where getting around by bicycle or even walking is viable. Bus service is available to Santa Barbara to the north, or Ventura to the south, and the Amtrak station is within easy walking distance, as well. And there's still more! It's directly across the street from the wildlife sanctuary and just a half-block from the white sand beach. In the photos is an aerial view showing it's proximity to the beach and town.

Term: We gotta talk. It's available starting September 1 and the price in the ad is for 30 days off-season, but we can accommodate different needs. Call me! We also have other short- and mid-term rental units in the same building.

Sadly, there are rules. You gotta pay the rent, preferably on time; no smoking; quiet, well-behaved pets will be considered; and we demand that you have fun living here!

The security deposit is $2,500

Off-street parking is available on a first-come, first-serve basis, but street parking is widely available and frequently more convenient.

One month minimum, but we will lease it for longer, let us know your needs. Owner pays all utilities. Pets allowed with an added security deposit of $500 per pet. No smoking anywhere in the unit or on the premises. We can customize a rental agreement to meet your needs and we have other similar units in the same building if this one doesn't ring your bell. Rental rate varies with seasons due to its proximity to the beach. We also have one 1-BR 1BA, and a studio available.

"Everyone loves dogs around here. It’s a great small beach town where everyone is friendly with each other."
  • Bodhi Jo
"No place is truly “safe”. A lot of street drugs happening at the beach but kids are all over town playing (very young) without supervision. I don’t have kids but if I did I would be more cautious & aware of where your kids are all the time!! "
  • Evette A.
"Small town feel, you can ride your bike safely everywhere. Small local businesses. Lots of kids, families, dogs. Beautiful parks. Very safe beach, safe beach water, waves don’t get too big. "
  • Jhovanatrujillo
"Everything is walking distance so you could always take your dog anywhere and everywhere. There’s lots of parks and it’s a small great beach town."
  • Leland W.
"Cars drive too fast on through streets. The amount of litter is sad. Typically, there are too many people living in each single family house. "
  • Jhovanatrujillo
"Really great small beach town, everyone knows each other, you can get anywhere walking. Beautiful town and beach. "
  • Nicole B.
"Schools are great and very welcoming. Lots of families in different stages. Parks are well kept. Very walkable. "
  • Zenemijgraphics
"Carpinteria is a great place to raise kids. Very peaceful and very little crime. Small community that looks out for each other."
  • Heidibiggs
"I’ve never seen a town like this, it is the cutest beach town in the world. It boasts clean, safe beaches, hiking, biking, amazing restaurants and beautiful landscape. "
  • Ray
"I’ve lived in Carpinteria for more than 20 years and I love this little beach town. It has its own laidback feel to it and isn’t as stuffy or trendy as Montecito or Santa Barbara. There isn’t much in the way of nightlife and things get pretty quiet after about 8:30pm. But the charm of this place is hard to beat. "
  • Wwalyseeya3
"The cost of living is really high in Carpinteria. In general, landlords don’t maintain their properties. "
  • adrea9 a. c.
"I live here part time and work here. Been here for 24 years. I fell in love with the town in 1991 and have loved it ever since.I am an artist and it is beautiful! People are so so nice. You have the gorgeous beach, ocean, sunsets, and mountains while everything in the town is a flat walk , biking hiking, sipping coffee in the sun. Just a wonderful heavenly quiet joyful place to be!"
