About this House
THE BUILDING: This is a rare vacancy in the Broadway Plaza Condominiums, which are well known as one of the best built, most spacious, and intelligently designed of the Capitol Hill condominiums. The building is located on 11th Avenue East on Capitol Hill, 2 blocks east of Broadway, in the middle of the block on the east side of the street between John and Denny. It is 1/2 block from Cal Anderson Park, and 2 blocks from the Capitol Hill Light Rail Station. The building has only 18 units on four floors, is modern and impeccably maintained. There is a large, bright atrium and interior plant area in the hallway on the floor to the unit, which no other floor has. This unit is on the northwest corner of the fourth floor and faces south with views of the neighborhood and city. The condominium has almost no walls common with neighbors. There is secured underground parking with a large, individual, fully enclosed storage room adjacent to and for each parking stall.
THE UNIT: Where to begin? The condominium is located on a quiet residential street in the most convenient part of Capitol Hill and is close to Broadway. This 4th floor corner unit has 180 degree exposure to the west with ample southern and northern exposure as well. The natural lighting into the unit is exceptional. Cal Anderson Park, (which is 2 block away), the Space Needle, parts of First Hill, the downtown skyline, and the Olympic Mountains are visible from an over sized deck off the living and dining rooms. A full size (i.e. free standing, not stacking), washer and dryer are in the unit. The open-style kitchen has a side by side refrigerator/freezer with an ice maker, trash compactor, microwave, dishwasher, and double wide sink. All appliances are top line GE. The kitchen counter has a bar stool area facing into the dining room. Both bedrooms are ample size, the master bathroom is spacious with a stall shower, and the guest bathroom has a Jacuzzi tub. The unit has lots of windows and five (!) closets. Only a small portion of the kitchen and dining room shares a common wall with the adjacent neighbor. By minimizing common walls the home was designed to be as quiet as possible. See: www.broadwayplazarental.com
The rent includes water, garbage, sewer, garaged parking, and private storage. There is also a security/fire alarm system. This is the balance of another's initial lease term of 4-6 MONTHS. (The above block will only say 6 or 12 months!) It may be extended at that time for an additional year, etc.
