7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has been horrible to me and a lot of the other students i see roaming the halls. The constant gun threats just for fun, the rumors about students and teachers alike, And so many other things. There is so much discrimination, and no, no one is welcome unless you are rich and pretty. The students who are low income are ignored completely by peers. The teachers are not helpful when a student is in a horrible life situation at home. The councelors do not give help when a students needs it. Their courses are watered down and low quality, The teachers need to treat the children like actual children instead of criminals. There are actually some good kids at this school, but the teachers punish even the best students. The special education program exists, yes, but all you see around the halls is the special needs students being yelled at by their handlers. Also, this school is not safe. Kids are constantly fighting, and many innocent people are caught in the middle of it.Student Review8mo ago - Jan Jones Blackhurst Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son came as a 1st grader and is a 5th grader. We have loved our time at JJB! Principal Boccia is always available to help hear your concerns and makes great suggestions for resolutions. All our teachers are phenomenal (Roseberry, Thein, Franchino, Newkirk & Greenhalgh)! There are many therapy dogs on campus. They really help with the social/emotional aspects for the kids. We had part of 2nd and all of 3rd grade during COVID closures and I was so impressed how dedicated and supportive the staff was of the students. My son is in GATE and enjoys it. The school is diverse. There is a large community of Filipino families, which we love.Parent Review11mo ago - Check out schools near 10535 Peach Creek St.

"There is a mix of “horse” property with larger lots and parks with Mountain View’s. There are several different types of neighborhoods. And groceries are not hard to get to. The schools in the area are also wonderful."

"It’s a pretty quiet neighborhood for the most part. Never felt unsafe either. Neighbors are friendly and look out for one another. Never had any packages stolen for the most part as well. Living here is peaceful and comfortable. Getting to your location is pretty easy as well there’s kids walking home all the time. "
