What Locals Say about Pahrump

"People would like having a dog and the dogs would be well accepted as they are not a neighborhood problem - barking, escaping, and or biting/killing chickens or livestock "

"No public transportation, 50 miles to/from work, no traffic, slight construction, possible wild life, ie rabbits, burros, coyotes, crossing roads, 20 mins from major grocery stores & other local businesses. Very rural."

"There is no public transportation but there are taxis and everything is very close. Many people ride bicycles to places. "

"There is plenty of space to walk and most properties have enough space for them to run freely all the time. I don’t think I’ve ever heard any reasons as to why someone wouldn’t want to own a dog here. The asphalt does get hot for paws though and there are only sidewalks on the highway in town, not in housing communities (unless you live in one of the two major HOAs here) "

"Great, not alot of Traffic. im visiting my mom and I love it here and I plan to move out here from Vegas very soon. I feel safe, beautiful views, nice people, it's a lovely, peaceful little town, With just enough things to do here. There's alot more things going on and to do than you would think. Although they do need a Movie Theater, and A Water Park for the Hot Summer Day's not everyone has access to a pool. 😊"

"These lots are all 1-2 acre fenced parcels with all sorts of livestock including dogs, horses, goats, chickens & roosters. Folks ride their UTVs up & down our street with dogs occasionally. Very pet friendly community with a vet about 7 miles down the road. "

"Its small town desert living, where the cost is cheaper then neighboring California or Las Vegas, but a short drive to both. If people are looking to move out here and change it to a metropolis, do not bother. We like small growth but value our small town living more. "

"We have lived here 6 years. It is a nice, quiet county area with paved streets and close-ish town."
