In the winter, before the holidays, there is a “home for the holidays” event with a parade, Main Street shuts down to traffic and stores stay open late and everyone walks up and down main street.     "The tree commission preserves all the lovely old trees. I have never lived in a town that had a special committee to keep the ratio of trees in sync with the number of homes. It is so green all summer long and the fall is an explosion of color. "
