"I am not a member of the community here, but the best thing to know, that this is a very very quiet place to live. Even though the train is next to you, and the firefighters place are behind you, it is so quiet because most people living here are grownups not young kids."

"I've lived in Sunnyside for 18 years. It has the best NYC has to offer. A quick ride to Manhattan, but all you need is in the 'hood. Great restaurants, bars, & services. The one downside is lack of green space, but there are a few parks and the huge old-growth trees in Sunnyside Gardens make up for it. There's a lovely green market every Saturday as well as regular community events. Overall it's great, diverse community; quintessentially Queens! "

"I love living in Sunnyside! I moved here in the 90's (in my 20's) because it was affordable, but I never thought I would still be living here in 2020 and raising a family here. It is an amazing community with beautiful tree-lined streets in Sunnyside Gardens, farmers market, wonderful parks, restaurants... You get the best of suburban living and urban living combined."

"A lot of dog owners don’t pick up their dogs poop. Street can be quite dirty at times The dog park on the Sunnyside gardens is great - there are a few nice pet shops - dog owners can be friendly or the total opposite outside of the park zone "
