Provident Charter School cannot be compared to other public charter schools as it is the only elementary/middle school designed specifically for children who struggle to read. Therefore, the scores will be lower. When evaluating the reader needs to focus on score improvement in this case. These schools are unique and exceptional with a 100% parent satisfaction rating. The teachers utilize a multi-sensory approach to learning within small class sizes (1:5) to ensure each child has a unique and individualized learning experience. Additionally, Provident Charter School teaches each child Taekwondo to further promote confidence. The schools are located in Pittsburgh and Beaver, PA and currently bus from 55 different school districts, servicing 8 counties in Western PA. I would strongly encourage any parent/guardian with a struggling reader to look into this school.
