"There is a Boys & Girls Club in Lawrenceville & a good Public Library up in Lawrenceville. The strip has less families around & less things for kids to do. "

"Everyone has to walk their dogs on the street because the sidewalks are broken or there aren't any. Cars also tend to blow the speed limit making walking on the roads difficult."
  • Elaine S.
"There's a spray park (seasonal) and Troy Hill Citizens park; however, there isn't a playground or community center where kids can safely play. "

"There are several bus stops for public transportation and driving into town is pretty easy considering 28 is so close. "

"plenty of parks to walk dogs esp up the city end. seems most houses have at least one dog in this area."
  • Mayon J.
"I see my neighbors walking their dogs all the time. There are 2 parks you can walk your dog to and there are doggie poop bag dispensers that the local dog owners take turns keeping full. "
  • Kristen N.
"This area has become very bad and overrun with drugs. I have lived here almost 5 years and miss how it was in the beginning."
  • Aaron b.
"I have lived here for three years, and for the reputation it has I have found it to be a fine neighborhood. I have had no issues and don’t see anything I wouldn’t expect living this close to downtown"
  • Jim
"This is an excellent neighborhood with many amenities within walking distance, such as a family medical practice, a pharmacy, a convenience store, a neighborhood grocery, a local restaurant, public parks, public transportation, an active community organization, and much more. It also in close proximity to a boy's and girl's club, bicycle trails, major sports venues, such as Heinz Field and PNC Park, and the Downtown Cultural District. Furthermore It is also situated centrally among many major highways making commuting throughout the city and to the suburbs non problematic."
  • Fred B.
"An old neighborhood that's staring a comeback."
